Wii Fit the Next Boot Camp?

According to an article I found on GameInformer.com, Navy Surgeon General Vice Admiral Adam M Robinson is considering using Wii Fit and Dance Dance Revolution as a tool to get new recruits into shape before going to basic training.

There have been steady rising statistics in cases of broken femurs and long bones being broken, especially in young females, while in basic training.  This has to do with recruits leading a sedentary lifestyle before suddenly being thrown into an abruptly very physical one in basic training.

So if you’re already using Wii Fit or DDR, you may already be in better shape than the Navy…imagine that?
