With all the coupons that can be found online and in newspaper inserts, most people seem to have forgotten a very easy and rewarding way to get coupons for the products you love: in your mailbox.
Did you know that most companies will mail you coupons if you just ask? You can send them a compliment, a complaint (but only do it if you have one), or just ask for some coupons. Usually, what I do is just send an e-mail saying:
“Hi, I’m a big fan of [enter product here]. I would love to be sent some coupons to help my family continue to enjoy your products while on a tight budget.”
Simple. And it works! Companies get requests like these a lot and are more than happy to send out coupons. I can understand that you would be nervous about it, though…but most of you bloggers out there are more than eager to contact companies!
I’ve seen some others around the blogosphere that know about this “couponing trick” and contact companies every day, but I’ve never seen anyone that has a list of the companies that send them things.
But, to help anyone and everyone out, I’ve created a master list of companies I’ve contacted and whether they’ve sent me coupons or not. To sweeten the deal, I am also including everything they send me!
This will become a permanent page on my blog that will be updated whenever I get something new! And if you’ve ever contacted a company and gotten something from it, or have a request of a company you’d like me to try, leave it in a comment and I will confirm and add it to the list.
