Just A Typical Blog Update [Please Read]

So, I'm officially back from vacation, but I'm having a lot of trouble getting back into the swing of things.

Basically, the whole expanse of my creativity and ideas is burnt out. Nada. Squat. Zero. Dead.

I blame this on two things:

  1. I'm horrifically exhausted.  I could be put under a spell like Sleeping Beauty (but without the beauty), awaken from true love's kiss, roll over, and demand "5 more minutes!"
  2. Everything has been going wrong since I returned.
    1. Case in point:  I got back last night, and everything seemed fine.  I got online, checked my e-mail, watched a show on Netflix, and then went to bed.  The cats couldn't decide if they wanted to stay in the bedroom or not.  So, in the end (after getting out of bed 5-10 times), I left the door cracked open.  Then, at roughly 3 AM, I hear growling and a hiss.  I assumed the cats were fighting.  But nope!  Loki was ticked off because he could see another cat outside.  I got Loki to leave the bedroom, but then Izzy decided to take up the growling and hissing.  The worst part:  the cat outside somehow thought that all this growling and hissing (and basically "FUCK OFF" in cat language) meant that it should come closer.  So, finally, I banged on the window and yelled at it, and it ran off after 20 minutes.
    2. When I woke up in the morning, I tried to turn on my laptop.  Nothing.  No spark of life.  Eventually I figured out that the AC Adapter (charger for you non-techies) was not working.  AC Adapters come in two parts, to I tried disconnecting the parts and then reconnecting them, but all I would get is a flash from the power light and then it was off.  I tried again, but this time? Disaster. I get a spark, a flame, and smoke.  AC Adapter completely shorted out.  Now it doesn't work at all.  My laptop?  Useless.  Luckily, my boyfriend has an ancient desktop I can use.
So, in short, I'm frustrated, exhausted, gloomy, and unsociable.  And I really, really, really want BigJones to get back from Seattle.

I'm going to try to write a few posts, but I'm not sure how that will go.  I'm feeling pretty down-in-the-dumps, and, unfortunately, it's having an effect on my blog.  I really miss reading comments, being part of blog hops, entering blog giveaways, reading others' posts, and everything else associated with blogging.  Unfortunately, I just don't have the enthusiasm right now.  I really need a pick-me-up.

  1. I'm so sorry to hear about your night! (And day!) Some days I wake up feeling that same way...no ideas, no creativity, sore butt from sitting in my computer chair for too long. But you know what keeps me going?? Exactly what you said you missed...reader comments, blogging friends..etc.
We keep each other uplifted and motivated. And that's what I love about blogging! :)

  2. I have a cure for that Lots and Lots of Espresso and Cookie Dough. Works for me everytime. If that doesn't work - guzzle some nyquil and sleep for 2 days.

  3. Sorry to hear you are down in the dumps though - all joking aside.

  4. It's okay. We've all been there - I hope you're feeling like your old self soon. Sending a big virtual bouquet of flowers your way in the hope it'll be a sign of things changes for the better real soon. Smiles.
